WELCOME TO THE DOMAINE LES HAUTES BRIGUIÈRES
The Domaine «Les Hautes-Briguières» is located in the Vaucluse in Mormoiron, a small village on the southern slopes of Mount Ventoux.
The estate, covering an area of 38 hectares, has the distinct feature of sitting on a hill at an altitude of 350 meters. The vineyard plots thus benefit from maximum sunshine.
The site's geology is typical of the Provence region: clay and limestone soil with plots arranged in terraces.
Our family practices diversified agriculture, so our farm is representative of the various productions found in Provence and the Mediterranean basin: olive oil, cherries, and Muscat grapes.
BEFORE AND NOW...
For over 150 years, our family has cultivated this land, and for three generations, we have worked and maintained these terraces and crops with the utmost respect for the environment. Century-old vines and olive trees bear witness to the deep-rooted history of farming on the estate.
In 2000, the family farm reached a new milestone. We expressed our desire to return to wine and bring our passion to life by creating the «Les Hautes Briguières» estate. The wine is now crafted in the estate's cellar.
Today, our estate combines tradition and modernity:
Tradition old vines harvested by hand, long vatting, oak barrels that produce wines with powerful, woody character.
Modernity modern winery that makes maximum use of gravity to make wines, refrigeration unit, air conditioning, destemmer-crusher, plate press, thermo-regulated vinification tanks in coated concrete and stainless steel.
